As Melbourne Fashion Week (M/FW) 2025 wraps up for another year, one thing is clear - individuality reigned supreme, and as an official partner of M/FW 2025 we’re only just recovering.
This year’s theme, “Come As You Are”, was not just a slogan, but a celebration of authenticity and self-expression that played out vividly on the city’s streets, with exhibitions, talks, and runways across multiple iconic locations.
The week was a visual symphony of personal style and diversity, yet, arguably, the real highlight of M/FW was the street style. Corsets, headscarves, and sharp, tailored suits were key players across the week. Among the standout moments was Charlene Ye Davies, who stunned the crowd daily and notably at the Student Collections Runway, donning a skirt hand-stitched using dead retail stock otherwise destined for landfill, blending craftsmanship and conscious design. Elsewhere, at the Closing night runway, we saw creative reuses of vintage ties, layered textures, and upcycled accessories and headscarves, a clear reflection that sustainability has become an integral part of modern style, rather than just a passing trend.
The statement wasn’t just in the clothing - it was in the mindset. Melbourne’s fashion lovers embraced imperfection, creativity, and conscious consumption, redefining what it means to dress with purpose.
Fressko made an appearance with the all new Venti tumbler. Lightweight and spillproof for effortless portability, the Venti seen in hands across the week stood as a statement that style extends beyond fashion, and as a symbol of mindful living and the ever-present need to stay hydrated in the buzz of city life.
In a world where fashion often feels fast and fleeting, Melbourne Fashion Week 2025 reminded us to slow down, stay true, and “come as you are, sustainably.
